About
SwanCare Group
Vision For The Future
The
Board of Directors and Senior Management Team are currently overseeing
development plans for the long-term sustainability of SwanCare Group.
In addition to the massive infrastructure redevelopment of our Bentley
Park community, our future growth plans include expansion into other
metropolitan and regional areas to meet the forecast growth and
demand for service provision to future generations of older Western
Australians living in rapidly developing regions.
Our Bentley Park community represents the embodiment of our innovative
response to a rapidly changing, more sophisticated and competitive
retirement and aged care environment. Bentley Park symbolises our
vision for the future of retirement living and the provision of
care services to future generations of Western Australians.
In implementing such fundamental change however, current and future
residents can rest assured that our organisation remains committed
to the mission and vision of our Founder, Dr Richard Cleaver when
he established Swan Cottage Homes in the early 1960’s: To
provide well appointed and affordable accommodation for Western
Australian seniors.
Commencing in November 2006, stage 3 of the masterplan redevelopment
of Bentley Park includes a contemporary Residential Aged Care Centre
that, when completed, will be the most technologically advanced
aged care facility in Australia. This state-of-the-art community
asset will redefine the term ‘innovation’ in the delivery
of outstanding care to older people living. The centre piece of
the new Care Centre is the inclusion of a Community Day Therapy
Centre offering a specialist range of medical, nursing, allied health
and complementary therapies in addition to a range of social activities
and leisure interests for Bentley park residents and members of
the wider community alike.
Services such as physiotherapy, podiatry, massage, aromatherapy
and a full range of additional holistic and complementary treatments
will be available as part of the ongoing treatment philosophy at
the new Care Centre.
The new Community Day Therapy Centre will also feature activities
specifically aimed at maintaining active adult living, targeting
programmes for physical, spiritual and mental well-being and incorporate
sensory gardens, a memory clinic, a hydrotherapy pool, aqua-therapy
centre and fully equipped gymnasium.
