Low Dependency Residential Care - Waminda Care Centre

Who is eligible?
An applicant who is assessed as being unable to attend to their day-to-day care within their home may apply for an Aged Care Assessment under the Federal Government admission criteria for low care accommodation. The Aged Care Assessment Team [ACAT] will assess the applicant's need for assisted living. Further information regarding the ACAT assessment can be obtained by phoning the Aged Care Information Line on 1800 500 853.

Financial Requirements
An Entry Bond may apply for admission to Waminda Care Centre. The amount of the bond is prescribed by the Federal Government and based on a variable scale dependent on the level of assets of the prospective resident. Financially disadvantaged residents are not expected to pay an Entry Bond.

Daily care rates comprise approximately 85% of the full single aged pension and are paid fortnightly in advance. Part and non-pensioners may also be required to pay an additional daily care amount based on their non-pension income.

Please contact the Admissions Officer at Waminda Care Centre on [08] 6250 0051 or waminda@swancare.com.au.
