We regard our volunteers as the backbone of our communities. Through their contribution of skills and experience, the lives of many are made better.
At Bentley Park, our volunteer workforce is made up of many of our retirement living residents together with members of the wider community, all of whom contribute their talents in a diverse range of ways. The many recreational clubs and groups at Bentley Park are coordinated and managed by volunteers. Thanks to their generous commitment of time and talent, Bentley Park is a thriving and vibrant neighbourhood full of choice and opportunity.
Within our residential care centres, our volunteers make a meaningful and positive difference to the lives of residents in care. Bus driving, joining in residents’ social and recreational activities where skills, support and encouragement add to enjoyment, to name but a few. Most importantly, volunteers brighten the day for many residents, especially those without family contact, by visiting and offering companionship, conversation and a listening ear.
Our volunteers tell us that they receive many personal rewards. In other words, it feels good to give. They add to their skills and discover new talents. Great friendships are made and they feel connected to their community. Every one of our volunteers is priceless but we always need more. Please consider joining us.
Our Volunteer Coordinator, Karen Parker, will be delighted to discuss with you volunteer opportunities tailored to your interests and available time. Please contact Karen on 6250 0010 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
