Official Opening Stage 2 Bentley Park Redevelopment

SwanCare Group recently celebrated the completion of the second stage of the Bentley Park redevelopment with a cocktail party for 150 guests, which included wide representation from organisations and businesses within the aged care sector and residents at Bentley Park who are now enjoying their beautiful new homes.
Stage 2 Precinct was officially opened by Mr Geoff Cleaver, son of the late Dr Richard Cleaver, who founded SwanCare Group in 1961. Dr
Cleaver’s widow, Mrs Mavis Cleaver, whose tireless fundraising work significantly contributed to the growth and success of SwanCare Group, especially in the early years, was guest of honour. Sons, Peter and Brian were also guests on the
night.

Bentley Park on Show again for 2007

For the second year, talented residents of Bentley Park exhibited an exceptional display of their
arts and crafts for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. The two day Bentley Park Show, coordinated by resident volunteer Mrs Beryl Davis and her committee, included arts and craft embracing home industries, photography, woodwork, quilting and art. Neighbours Rowethorpe and Cooinda Retirement Villages were welcome participants in this special community event. SwanCare Group’s Community Trophy for the highest aggregate number of points was won by Mrs Nancy Armstrong and Mrs Joan Mellowship won the Town of Victoria
Park Trophy. Another great achievement for Bentley Park.

Everyone a Winner at the Bentley Park Melbourne Cup Luncheon

SwanCare Social Club hosted the traditional Melbourne Cup Luncheon for 130 punters, all dressed in their best “get-up” for the day. A fine
3-course luncheon was served and the entertainment by the Head & Toe Band was only interrupted for
the viewing on the big race on the large screen TV. The four best-dressed ladies were presented with a bottle of top quality chardonnay. Not to miss a moment of the action on the track, one guest was seen viewing the race through his binoculars!
Pictured is SwanCare Social Club President and MC for the day, Mr Peter Brunt & wife Shirley. Is that binoculars, we see?
