Thank you to those that took the time to provide feedback about our wonderful team members for the awe-inspiring work they do here at SwanCare. Our Feathers winner for March was nominated for the Leadership taken in compiling this year’s Harmony Day celebrations!

Congratulations to our Lifestyle Team Leader, Rhea Dimalanta!

“Celebrating Harmony Day is part of SwanCare culture. We were successful in organising another celebration for Harmony Day this year thanks in large part to the leadership shown by Lifestyle Team Leader, Rhea.

Rhea encouraged staff across different cultures and backgrounds to join in this year’s activity. She communicated with them about their traditional costumes and food, researched information about the costumes, designed a presentation and sourced music from different countries to play while each group performed; ensuring the event was well-organised. We never doubted her efforts and it was clear many hours of her own time were spent compiling this. Team members are motivated and feel supported by Rhea and will move forward together.”

What a monumental effort Rhea! You certainly set a high standard, not to mention brought a lot of happiness to many people. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our residents and coworkers.

Rhea is joined by a number of outstanding team members whose unwavering values continue to shape the friendly and inclusive community we’re so proud of.

Here are the category winners for March.

Category Winners
COMPASSION - Tshering Dolkar, Assistant in Nursing – SwanCare Kingia
“We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Tshering after receiving wonderful feedback from a resident’s daughter about the care she provides. She shared how incredibly kind and gentle Tshering is and described her as highly professional - while also making her mother feel truly heard and seen.

The way Tshering communicates shows genuine care and she is always ready to help whenever needed. Personally, I have also witnessed how positive, polite and sincere Tshering is in her work. She consistently demonstrates compassion and respect in every interaction. It is clear that she often goes above and beyond to support our residents and ensures they feel comfortable and valued. Tshering we are very proud of the dedication and warmth you bring to your role. Your kindness and commitment make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families. Thank you for the wonderful work you do every day.”

Justin was informed about this and without hesitation or questions he was onto the job. This sort of prompt action is what helps us do our everyday jobs. It is not only staff requests he attends to. If any residents or family members have an issue with cleanliness, Justin is quick to action it regardless of the task ahead. Thank you, Justin and keep up the good work. Thank you.”

She encourages residents to participate in activities from bingo or event playing interesting videos on YouTube depending on the resident’s preference, ensuring everyone feels included and involved. Sukh also thoughtfully engages residents who miss attending the concert on some days by creating sing-alongs and dances while on the floor so they also feel connected and part of the care.
