As we turn the corner into 2026, we would like to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate our Feathers winner that brought 2025 to a close.
Compassion is a fundamental SwanCare value and a common attribute among our team. It was firmly demonstrated last month by one of our Physiotherapy Assistants, Leena Vettiyadan at SwanCare Tandara. Here is the feedback we received and the reason why she is our Feathers winner for December. Congratulations Leena!
“We have a resident who initially wouldn't accept any visitors except her family but over a short period of time, Leena was able to gain the resident’s trust. The transformation in her behaviour has been truly remarkable. She has completely turned around thanks to Leena’s efforts. With her care she has become more open, engaged and has come out of her shell in ways we never imagined. The resident is friendly and actively participates in activities. We were especially thrilled to see her dancing at the Christmas party! In the end, we had a hard time trying to get her to take a break from dancing when she was getting tired, but as soon as Leena returned and instructed her to rest, she did not hesitate, showing she trusted her completely. Thank you, Leena, for making such a meaningful difference in her life.”
To have such a significant impact on someone’s life must make you very proud Leena. We are certainly very proud to have you in the SwanCare family, thank you!
Here are the nominations for the category winners for December.
