SwanCare Appoints Darren Sumner as Chief Executive Officer 

SwanCare is pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Sumner as Chief Executive Officer following a comprehensive national recruitment process and a successful period serving as Interim CEO. 

Chair of the SwanCare Board, Ms Kim Hocking, said Darren was the outstanding candidate to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth and evolution. 

“Throughout his time as Interim CEO, Darren has demonstrated the leadership, integrity and strategic capability the Board was seeking in our next Chief Executive Officer. He has earned the Board’s confidence through his commitment to our residents, employees and organisational purpose. We are delighted to appoint him to lead SwanCare into its next chapter,” Ms Hocking said. 

Having served as Chief Corporate Services Officer prior to his appointment as Interim CEO, Darren brings a comprehensive understanding of SwanCare’s operations, culture, opportunities and challenges. His established relationships with employees, residents and stakeholders position him to make an immediate impact in the role. 

Darren said he was honoured to be appointed Chief Executive Officer and looked forward to building on SwanCare’s strong foundations. 

“I am proud to be given the opportunity lead an organisation which has such a long history and legacy with an unwavering commitment to supporting older residents in our community,” Mr Sumner said. 

 “Since arriving at SwanCare, I have had the opportunity to work closely with many of our residents, employees, Board and community.
